I’ve spent most of my life ignorant of the crazy politics of the world around me. But then, after our illusion of safety was ripped away in 2001, I began watching the news feeds. I started putting all the little bits together, and when all my tiny puzzle pieces began to form a picture, I found myself shocked. There were things going on in this country that no one knew about, things that should not even be possible in this age of information. But they went unnoticed.
Lately, I’ve had my fair share of political debates, and I have never passed an opportunity to educate myself about what’s going on in the world around me. I have enough trouble, so I don’t seek out news or catastrophe, I simply let it find me and sink in. Then, eventually, I reach critical mass, and do something like, oh, let’s say, collaborate on a website aimed at deconstructing the carefully planned lies of the mainstream media. It’s amazing what you can get away with these days. If enough people believe a thing, it becomes the truth…at least for the next 20 or 30 years, until there is a Discovery channel special about it that chases away the shadows of cover-up far too late for anyone to really care what went down.
Ladies and gentlemen, we hope to be the shameless light of truth that burns the eyes of crooks and liars. But we can only light the torch. It’s up to you to carry it.

“What the hell smells like effete Trotskyite?”
I started out as a forum rat way back in 2001, surfing relatively unknown Entertainment/News(EN) sites. I became a big fan of writers who could take a piece of pop culture nostalgia and turn it into epic prose, touching the heartstrings of the reader. These authors, relatively unknown and toiling in obscurity showed the kind of passion you could only find in the great writers of times past, and I wanted to make my voice heard. But I didn’t have the passion for cultural errata that they had. My drive, my soul was married to politics and the dangerous, untold stories of our descent into patriotic madness.
I got a break through a few mutual friends who started up their own sites, and began putting my voice in text. I tried the EN style, but my heart wasn’t in it. It wasn’t until I tried my hand at stream-of-consciousness writing that I really began to come into my own. When I got political, the passion was there. And I just had to write.
Unfortunately, I was a bit too serious for the sites I was a staff member of, and now, a few sites later and a little bit older, here I am. My focus, my muse for writing has everything to do with a desire to inform the public about the daily news that slips through the cracks. Sifting through the spin and writing between the lines, I seek to put honest and real perspective on these trying times that all humankind faces.
It’s no cowl and cape, but it’s my small way of trying to make a difference.
